Getting Back on Track, April Goals Update & a Video
Today’s post is all about getting back on track and how we’re really doing with our goals this month. We’re also excited to share a brand-new video. I don’t know about you guys but I am seriously standing at the end of April wondering, “Where did the month go?” No playing, it has definitely felt like one loooooonnnngggg week as opposed to four.
I decided to create this video because several of you feel totally off track with not only your daily goals but your monthly goals too. Some of you feel like you haven’t made as much progress as you thought you would, while others of you are worried if you take on one.more.thing. you’re going to derail completely.
Let me just say, right here and now, BIG HUGS, I GET YOU ?
Just last week, I woke up late and scrambled to find my slippers so I could take the dogs out. I felt something weird in my shoe and it was a receipt from Lowes. Then, I went to make the coffee only to realize the “clean” light was on which seemed like a glaring reminder I had put off yet another simple task. There was a leftover takeout bag on the kitchen counter, the laundry room was a disaster and the minute the sweet aroma of coffee filled the air I opened the refrigerator to find out I was out of creamer. All of this happened before I was set to drop off my car at the collision center to finally be fixed after a fender bender that took place on Good Friday.
For us, this month has been filled with a lot of traveling and a list of commitments that was so long I actually had to revamp my original April goals list because I realized what I had set out for myself to accomplish was totally unrealistic.
It might not be travel that interrupts your goals though. For you, it might be a change in your job description, end of the year activities your kids are involved in, maybe you’re struggling to prioritize your side hustle or seasonal allergies have you feeling down for the count (me too!).
Whatever you have going on right now, there is ONE thing that can help you get back on track. Now, for someone that likes a list of strategies, I know that might seem too simple. You might be thinking, “What’s the catch, CoCo?”
There is no catch.
Practicing this one simple technique can help you turn things around no matter if you’re off track for a day, a week, a month or an entire quarter.
While April has not been what I expected at all, we’ve been blessed this month with new opportunities and surprises that we could not have imagined. A huge thank you to K-LOVE for gifting us tickets to Chris Tomlin’s Night of Worship. It was amazing! Only half of Team Crowned Goat was able to attend the concert due to travel obligations which enabled us to invite three new friends to experience the night with us – Letta, Nikki and Tina! We’ve been a long-time supporter of K-LOVE but this surprise was totally out of left field. We’re still talking about how much fun we all had.
We celebrated three birthdays this month (On a side, doesn’t my dad look totally embarrassed to have girls ha ha? He is SO busted!)
We’ve spent most of the month out of town sourcing items for the One Room Challenge and working on my childhood home, Loblolly Manor. It has taken a lot of extra planning to make it all work but I wouldn’t trade the time or the memories we’ve made together for one second. Our plan is to have the house finished by Mother’s Day and I’m already getting teary thinking about this project coming to an end.
No, April has not been what we expected or planned. But looking back, it’s been exactly what we needed.
As always thank you so much for supporting these videos. You guys are the best and I appreciate each and every one of you. I’ll see you guys back here tomorrow. I still have a lot of pictures to sort through and edit so I’ll share a super simple vase makeover that took minutes to create. Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.
Many blessings,
CoCo
I dont think your dad looks embarrassed to have girls but he does look embarrassed about whatever you guys are laughing about ha ha! Another great post and video this month Coco. I love seeing behind the scenes
Oh Lord CoCo – we can’t even begin to think about, let alone list derailed plans – broken dreams – and disappointments. What we do know is that love keeps us going. Taking everything one moment, one breath, one laugh at a time. We shift and recreate new beginnings everyday. By focusing on the positives as strongly as we can – we heal and become better. Having positive, upbeat and loving people in our lives is the most important thing. We are forever grateful for you and your message. We LOVE you CoCo 🙂
