How to Decorate a Chandelier with Flowers for Spring

We’re sharing how to decorate a chandelier with flowers for Spring today!

A few years ago, we created a Spring Inspired Dining Room and used Bridal Bush branches from our yard to decorate the chandelier.

We’ve previously used greenery in our chandelier for Christmas. So, I thought it would be fun to decorate our chandelier with flowers for Spring too.

Decorating for Spring with Flowers and Branches…

Using greenery or flowers when decorating for any holiday is an easy way to create a festive feel in your home. It’s also a great way to transition from one season to the next.

You can pick up faux flowers, garland, and dried greenery from your local craft supply store. You can also use fresh greenery or branches from your yard.

Keep in mind, if you choose to use something from your yard, you’ll need to make sure it has been well cleaned and is free from any pests.

Also, the number of branches or greenery you’ll need for this project will depend on the size of your chandelier.

Here’s a look at how to decorate a chandelier with flowers for Spring…

Start with a clean chandelier that is free from dust, dirt, and debris.

Using caution and care, layer the Bridal Bush stems or stems of your choice through each chandelier arm.

Depending on the type of greenery you chose, you may need to mist the stems to keep them looking fresh. You can also water stems by using floral tubes.

Allow a few pieces to slightly drop to add a bit of whimsy.

Make sure the stems are not too heavy, you don’t want to cause any damage to your chandelier or ceiling. You also want to make sure the stems have been properly secured with string or floral wire.

Keep in mind ALL parts of your flowers, stems, and leaves should be completely clear of any lightbulbs and/or electrical wires.

Continue tucking and layering the Bridal Bush stems or stems of your choice at the base of the chandelier until you’ve achieved a look you love.

Fresh greenery and Bridal Bush stems like these will probably only last about 2 days (or less) unless you use the floral tubes to keep them watered.

So, you’ll want to plan something like this for a special occasion.

  4. Look at all those pretty flower stems! Are they pliable Coco or do you have to soak them to make them bend like that? Thanks

    1. That is a great question, Bonnie, I brought these in shortly after a rain storm so they were pretty pliable. Keep in mind you’ll need to make sure they’re free from any pests before you bring them inside to use if you’re using something like this from your yard which might also make them pliable depending on what you use. 1. I really appreciate it, Rachel, thanks so much for your sweet words. It was fun to put together even if it only lasted a few days. Bridal Bush has such a fragrant scent. I NEVER imagined in a million years when I was in graduate school in a TINY apartment in a not-so-great area of town surrounded by family hand-me-downs I would live in a house I loved. It felt like a total pipe dream. I can definitely say all the struggles are worth it though all these years later. You’ll get there, I promise! Wishing all good things for you today and everyday, CoCo

  7. TWO DAYS OR LESS?! Kudos to you for even doing that. I’m all about the faker than fake so I don’t have to fool with it for at least a month. Love this idea though. Maybe if I had some super special blogging friends come over I’d give them the royal treatment with real flowers?! Maybe. 😉 pinned

    1. I hear you, lady! The bridal bush is so beautiful but those flowers are delicate and don’t seem to last very long. S was just asking me the other day if I knew of some fake plants that looked real for the porch because the prices at the garden center this year have doubled! I’m so thankful faux flowers have come a long way they make a world of difference ❤ Big hugs, CoCo

I’m always excited when people share their flowering pear trees, cherry blossoms, and other seasonal branches. They’re so pretty! Hope you find what you’re looking for. I love all the spring stuff that is out right now! Hugs, CoCo
