Creating a Smoothie Prep Basket…

One of the easiest ways to keep your dry items, blender, and drink containers organized is to create a smoothie prep supplies basket.

For example:

  • Blender
  • Protein Powder
  • Chia Seeds
  • Flax
  • Plastic or Resealable Snack Bags

We keep two smoothie baskets in our drink station cabinets.

One is for the blender and to-go smoothie drink containers.

The other is for all the dry supplies like powders and seeds.

It makes creating smoothie prep packets so much easier.

You don’t have to have your kitchen organized like ours to have a smoothie basket though.

You can keep a smoothie basket in your pantry or on your bar cart too.

How to Make Smoothie Prep Packets…

After you’ve gathered the basics, making smoothies ahead of time is super easy.

Your nutritionist or medical care provider can help you determine which combination is best based on your dietary needs.

So, make sure you ask for their advice and recommendations.

This is the simple formula we use depending on how many smoothies we’re making:

  • Fruit (1/2-1 cup)
  • Veggies (1-2 cups)
  • Protein Powder (1 scoop)
  • Healthy Fats (1 small avocado, 1 banana, or 1-2 tablespoons nut butters)
  • Seeds/Fiber (chia, hemp or flax seeds)
  • Almond Milk (you could also use hemp, coconut, soy, or oat. I don’t personally drink cow’s milk so we almond and coconut the most)
