Don’t get me wrong, I love a good holiday party.

By the time we get to the cabin though, we’re completely exhausted from all the hustle and bustle.

No matter how hard I try to keep everything organized about an hour from the cabin I start to slightly panic wondering if all the packages have been delivered in time or if we’ve forgotten anyone.

Thankfully, we haven’t had any mishaps over the years.

I can honestly say though when you have a big family or a lot of presents to buy, being organized during the year and vigilant during the holiday season is a huge time saver.

Now I know this looks like any old vintage dresser and at one time it did belong to my Granny.

Your dresser doesn’t necessarily have to be a vintage one.

However, using a dresser with multiple drawers will help you better organize all the tools you’ll need for a gift wrap station.

Place Tension Rods Inside Bigger Drawers to Keep Wrapping Paper and Ribbon Organized…

The inside of this drawer is about 36 inches long.

A roll of typical wrapping paper is about 30 inches long.

So, a medium-sized tension rod is a perfect fit to keep wrapping paper and ribbon organized.

Keep measurements like these in mind when you’re looking for a dresser to make an easy vintage dresser gift wrap station of your own.

You might even have a dresser you can use at home already!

Designate a Drawer Specifically for Ribbon…

If use lots of pretty ribbon on your packages, consider designating an entire drawer specifically for ribbon.

Keeping your wrapped packages organized can be easily accomplished with a little advanced planning.

You can use a “destination tote or basket system” even if you’re staying close to home.

For example, if you exchange gifts with your extended family at your Granny’s house then your tote and tag would say Granny’s house.

If you give out teachers’ gifts all at once, your tote and tag will list the name of your child’s school.

If you don’t want to use separate totes or baskets to keep wrapped gifts organized, you can assign each destination or family a specific color paper or ribbon.

Keep Your Gift-Wrapping Station Organized, Maintained, and Clutter-Free Throughout the Year

Keep in mind, that packaging takes up a lot of extra space.

So, as you bring home new items make sure you take the time to decant your supplies as you put them away.
