On Friday while I was looking like this
I started working on an office makeover before I left for Haven. To be perfectly honest, I had instructions that scared me. You ready? No white, No chippy, No flowers, Nothing girlie please.
This is the piece that hurt my back last Monday. I didn’t realize it until the desk was tucked safely inside the garage. I sat down to write blog posts and when I had finished I couldn’t get out of the chair on my own.
What a weekend! I still can’t believe I went to Haven! A conference for bloggers! Me – in Atlanta – by myself!
Yesterday, I did something really scary. I got in the car and drove approximately 123 miles to a previously agreed upon meeting point. That’s not the scary part.
A few weeks ago I was reading an email from a reader that has become the sweetest friend. She is a fantastic artist, painter and fellow vendor in Mississippi. In one her emails she wanted to know when I would be posting a house tour, which gave me the giggles.
I’m taking a little extra time today to relax after a busy weekend. The house was packed and my sweet babies are exhausted.

This coastal flag project was one of my favorites from last year. It was simple and easy to make.
Well, we made it. There was a lot of laughter and a lot of tears but we made it. I’ve shared some really special moments with my family these past few days.
I bought this dresser along with four other pieces of furniture a few weeks ago. These long dressers are getting harder to find because they have multiple uses. I’ve seen them repurposed as media consoles, entry focal points and even as a bathroom sink.
