Dining Room Reveal
After two weeks of working on this room, I am so excited the reveal is finally here. It all started with this buffet and hutch redo. It was a mess but I knew it could be something special. Of course, it helps it stands over 7 feet tall and offers a ton of storage for my favorite things.
This table used to have a whitewash finish on top and Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Pure White on the legs. I loved it but it was a little too light for the dining room wall color so I decided to use Annie Sloan Dark Wax on top to help give it an aged look. It really brought out the wood grain and I like the way it works in the room now especially paired with those mismatched chairs.
The chairs have really come a long way. The originally chippy finish was awesome but I just couldn’t pull the green off so I painted them in one of my favorite shades of white. The four Windsor style chairs were painted using one of my favorite colors of off white.
I’ve had these tobacco sticks in the garage. Eventually, I’m going to use them for a table but for now, I’ve decided to put them with this vintage cart and burlap feed sack from my hometown. I brought home the vintage shopping cart on the same day I brought home the chandelier along with 4 pieces of furniture.
I found these lace-curtain panels a few weeks ago at one of my favorite places. I bought both panels for $19.95. I love the way the lace looks blowing in the summer breeze.
Lastly, I decided to hang this “Bakery” sign on the opening that connects the dining room to the kitchen.
For a long time this room housed inventory and finished pieces of furniture.
Many Blessings,
