Bedroom Makeover Reveal
I woke up so excited about today’s reveal. It’s been in the works since the end of March and I’m finally able to cross it off my priorities list!
This bedroom definitely falls into the “Recapture Simple Pleasures” portion of my 2014 Goals.
I almost claimed this space as my office space because I loved the wall color so much. It made me happy and I felt inspired every time I walked in to the room. Eventually, I chose the smaller of the two bedrooms as my office space because it made the most sense.
But I still treasured a girlie spot that was unapologetic in its use of crystals,
paper flowers,
layered white bedding
and plump pillows of mismatched floral prints all in the same room.
The use of pinks and turquoise and white, I love.
The materials are mostly simple. I’ve had this lamp for a few years now.
I painted the base with white chalk paint this morning and used a wastepaper basket as a new lampshade.
I’ve picked up a few new pieces on the treasure trail.
I bought this nightstand last week at an estate sale. Since I was already painting the lamp stand base today, I decided to paint the nightstand too. I added an aged look on the top with dark wax. The gravy boat is to hold jewelry, glasses and a cell phone in case you’re wondering.
The nightstand chipped in all the right places and that part makes me love it even more.
I wanted farm, faded and charming.
A place to relax and dream and write.
I hope you have a chance to relax and
dream and
be creative this weekend too.
Many Blessings,
CoCo
