Easy Fall Tablescape Ideas
We’re sharing Easy Fall Tablescape Ideas today!
After our most recent health adventures, it’s been so much fun to get the house Fall ready.
I love fresh starts and it feels amazing to finally be able to welcome a new season.
I know some people struggle to transition their home from Summer to Fall.
Especially, when it’s hot outside and doesn’t feel like Fall at all.
That happens to us in Florida all the time too!
Most of my friends and family members start decorating and preparing their homes for Fall just before Labor Day.
While others wait until it’s “officially Fall,” to decorate.
Where do you fit in?
This year, we’re taking things nice and slow.
That way, we can enjoy the season we’re in which means lots of simple but impactful Fall vignettes sprinkled around the house.
One of my favorite things to decorate around our home is the breakfast nook table and the dining room table.
I’ve shared many times before, we live in an open-concept home.
And as soon as you walk through the front door you can see the dining room, living room, and part of the kitchen immediately.
It’s one of the biggest reasons I try to keep the dining room festive all season long even if it’s just with a seasonal centerpiece or store-bought mums.
Fall decorating in the breakfast nook is also fun because the entire area is filled with windows and having the table decked out makes it feel like we’re celebrating Fall all over the house.
Dressing your table in seasonal style doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive at all.
You can choose to leave out your best dishes for a festive feel or create a seasonal centerpiece that steals the show!
Here are a few things to keep in mind when you’re creating easy fall tablescape ideas…
Use a Seasonal Color Palette That Complements Your Existing Home Decor
Given I’m a neutrals girl through and through, our home is dressed in shades of creamy whites, soft grays, touches of camels, and pops of blush pink.
It’s such an easy palette to dress up or down no matter what time of year it is!
We use these gray chargers and white plates a lot because they complement our existing home decor so well.
Repeating a specific color palette from one room to the next is a simple way to make things feel cohesive.
Decorating with a cohesive color palette will also help to stretch your decorating budget.
That way, you can spend money on colorful accessories or fun seasonal finds if you like.
Speaking of budget-friendly ideas, my sweet aunt who also loves all things equestrian let me borrow these vintage plates for the breakfast nook tablescape.
Each plate is different which is fun for a mix-and-match feel.
Vary Textures and Soft Elements for an Easy Fall Tablescape
We’re constantly looking for seasonal fabrics or blankets at thrift stores, antique malls, estate sales, and craft supply stores throughout the year.
Now is such is great time to buy Fall and Winter-inspired fabrics before they get picked over.
Seasonal fabrics instantly help to change the look of an easy fall tablescape.
Bonus, if you find a fabric that has a variety of colors in it, use those colors to help pull additional shades into your seasonal color palette.
Layering fabrics like flannels, wools, burlap, cashmere, cable knit, velvet, and leather will help to create a cozy feeling in your home and on your Fall tablescapes too.
Layer In Bits of Nature
When it comes to layering bits of nature into your easy Fall tablescape and centerpiece ideas, look no further than your yard, local nursery, or floral picks aisle at the craft supply store.
It can be hard sometimes to know if you should buy seasonal mums early in the season.
Especially, if you live in a warm weather climate.
Cotton, magnolia leaves, sticks, goldenrod, leaves, pine cones, coleus, and natural deer sheds are usually plentiful this time of year in most areas and make a great alternative to mums.
Just make sure you’ve cleaned these items well and they are free from pests before you bring them inside.
Create Ambiace On An Easy Fall Tablescape
Use unscented candles, votives, mason jars, lanterns, or hurricanes to create a warm soft glow that will make your guests feel both relaxed and celebrated.
Shop the Produce Aisle for Budget Friendly Seasonal Decor
There are a lot of seasonal decorating ideas right in the produce department!
Think apples, persimmons, grapes, gourds, pumpkins, acorn squash, pears, cranberries, plums, pomegranate, guava, and herbs.
Add a few of your favorite Fall flowers into the mix for a gorgeous Fall-inspired centerpiece. You can find out more on how to decorate for Fall with apples here.
Creating an easy Fall tablescape is all about celebrating the seasons and decorating with what you love most.
And I hope these ideas have helped!
Part of what makes Fall such a special season is the slower pace before the hustle and bustle of the holidays begins.
This time of year offers us all an invitation to reset our priorities.
So, bring on the mums and the pumpkin spice lattes!
Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.
Many blessings,
CoCo

So many great ideas here! I love how you introduce plaid into your decor during the fall. The colors in the plaid compliment your existing decor and yet offer a nod to the season. Also, It was so nice to apples and pomegranates. The pops of color are so invigorating. Thanks for the inspiration.
