From the Front Porch
Happy Friday, from the front porch!
How are things going this week, you guys?
Florida has slowly started reopening and I can tell people have had a serious case of cabin fever.
We ventured out on Tuesday to pick up a few knobs at Hobby Lobby for the armoire in the master bedroom.
While we were out, we decided to pick up some tacos for Cinco de Mayo and there was 2 hour wait.
Needless to say, our celebration had a decidedly more Caribbean flair this year ?
Our sweet Filbie had surgery late last week and despite seeming to rally in the beginning, he has sinced regressed.
He’s 16 which is pretty old for a dog his size. So, we’re loving him for as long as we can, giving him lots of snuggles and providing the extra care he needs.
Filbie will be back at the vet’s office next week and hopefully, we’ll have more answers then.
In the meantime, we’re steadily working on the master bedroom refresh which is keeping us busy in a good way.

Have you seen this collaboration between One Kings Lane and Bed Bath and Beyond yet? There are some really beautiful blue and white pieces. I love the block print pillows too!

Praying for Filbie, CoCo…such a love. There’s just something about old dogs. We have had 6 dogs over the years, each living until 11 years old…and our little old girl Sophie turns 13 on Sunday. Old dogs are such sweet spirits and bring such love into our lives…xoxo
So exciting about Sophie’s birthday this week, Linda. It will definitely be a special one. Hopefully, we’ll find out what is going on with Fiblie. This is the hardest part of loving senior dogs for sure. We plan to celebrate him as long as we can though, no matter what. Big hugs, CoCo
Aww my heart is breaking for poor Filbie. I pray all goes well next week!
Thank you, Michelle! He’s definitely a sweetie pie so we’ll try to make him as comfortable as we can for as long as we can. Hope your weekend is filled with all good things, CoCo
CoCo, I can’t even tell you how sorry I am to hear about your sweet boy, Filbie. You know how I feel about our dog babies. My thoughts and prayers are with both of you and Filbie. My heart hurts for you – I know how hard it is when they aren’t well. Sending big hugs XO
Thank you, Patty! He’s been sick off and on for a bit so hopefully, we can at least find what will help to make him the most comfortable. As you know, this is always the hardest part. Thinking of you this Mother’s Day weekend. May you feel celebrated and blessed by the amazing memories of your sweet Mom. Hugs, CoCo
