Effortless Christmas Wreath Ideas

Today we’re sharing effortless Christmas wreath ideas!

Every morning after I have quiet time with a steaming cup of Santa’s White Christmas coffee, next to the twinkling lights of the tree in the living room, I walk out to The Crowned Goat Cottage to turn on the heater and ask Alexa to play “Holiday Favorites.”

Honestly, it feels like Christmas came early this year because I get to work out here each day.

Even though it was TONS of work and took WAY longer than I ever imagined – I still can’t believe it’s finished.

The fact I can be as messy as I want, and Bing Crosby sings whenever I want is like a daily just pinch me already kind of moment.

I wish you guys lived closer because we would have so much fun crafting all sorts of holiday and seasonal goodies.

The effortless Christmas wreath ideas I’m going to share with you today, are similar to the effortless Christmas centerpiece we’re using in the dining room. 

It’s a budget-friendly project that doesn’t take a lot of time to complete and can be dressed up or down depending on how you’re decorating this year.

On a side note, for those of you who know I’ve been struggling to come up with a holiday theme for our décor, I might have found it because I’ve been using the word effortless a lot lately ?

Here’s a look at how to create an effortless Christmas wreath…

Effortless Christmas Wreath Supplies:

• Grapevine Wreath (we used an oval wreath that’s 24 inches long)
• Garland (we used a 6-foot garland)
• Floral Wire
• Wire Cutters
• Ribbon and Embellishments (optional)
• Tarp (to protect your work surface)

Wreath Steps:

Gather your supplies and lay a tarp down to protect your work surface. 

This garland is slightly frosted and while it’s really pretty, it also sheds bits of faux snow and ice all over.

The wreath we’re using is an oval shape and is 24 inches long.

Honestly, though, you can create an effortless Christmas wreath using a smaller size and different shape if you want.

Lay your wreath down flat.  Then fold your garland in half.

To help hide the end pieces, tuck the ends and a few pieces of greenery into each other and fluff a bit.

Next carefully, lay the folded garland onto your wreath.

Make sure the garland is even and is the shape you want (symmetrical vs asymmetrical)

Using caution and care as wire cutters will be sharp, cut small pieces of floral wire about the size of a bread bag twist tie.

Weave a piece of floral wire in between the layers of the grapevine wreath onto the garland and twist in place.

This will help secure the garland to the grapevine wreath.  

Continue to tuck and twist until the garland is fully secure on your effortless Christmas wreath!

Embellish your effortless Christmas wreath as desired with ribbons, floral picks, ornaments, or whatever you like.  Here’s a festive red version…

This one was S’s favorite because of the mix of red and black plaid and cranberry picks.

Here’s a super simple version with a pre-made burlap bow and greenery pick.

And this one has a mix of white berries and pinecones and a champagne-colored satin ribbon.

It feels a little bit fancy without being too over the top.

I’m not sure which version will make our front door because I haven’t really decided how I’m going to decorate the front porch yet, if at all. 

Truthfully, I’m torn because I love decorating the porches but we just haven’t spent very much time out there lately.

I might do a winter porch, so I’ll keep you posted.
