From the Front Porch
Happy Friday from the front porch! We hope your week has been a fun one. Thanks so much for making us a part of your day!
It’s been a busy week here as we continue to work on the guest bedroom makeover, refresh the breakfast nook, and prep for summer.
I can hardly believe we’re already nearing the end of the month!
There are still a ton of things on my May to-do list that I’m hoping to cross off before the Memorial Day holiday.
So, I’ve officially declared today “decision day” because I know if I don’t give myself some sort of deadline, I’ll be stuck in analysis paralysis much longer than necessary ?
I was on the phone troubleshooting a few things with one of my sisters the other day when she sent me this picture with a caption that read, “Legs or hotdogs” and it immediately gave me the giggles.
As an introvert, I’m always inside my head thinking things through, thoughtfully analyzing, carefully considering, and quietly introspecting until I find myself with so many options I feel stuck.
While sending your sister a picture of your sun-kissed legs will probably not help solve any problems, I did appreciate the gentle reminder to pause, breathe it out, and simply do the next right thing.
Cheering you on as we transition from one season to the next.

This podcast, The #1 Mindset Mistake I See In My Clients was a much-needed pep talk this week. While it’s written for introverted business owners, I feel like it would be helpful even if you’re not an entrepreneur, small business owner, or blogger.

Our May Book of the Month is called Sacred Rest and it is SO good.
I finished it last weekend and I can honestly say, it’s totally changed the way I look at rest and the need for rest. I’ve already started putting some of her suggestions in place and it’s definitely helping.
There are still some soul-searching kinds of things I need to work out which I’ll get more into next week.
Truthfully, my online test scores were shockingly high. I have a long way to go.
But as we always say even small steps can have a big impact.
