Valentine’s Dessert Buffet
Today, we’re sharing an easy Valentine’s Day Dessert Buffet you can pull together for your family, friends, coworkers, or loved ones in no time!
Valentine’s Day is always one of those holidays that seems to sneak up on us despite being clearly marked on the calendar ?
Every year, we’re left scrambling to come up with a fun adventure or a special gift at what feels like the last minute.
So, this year, we decided we wanted to do something festive yet simple to celebrate the day.
We mulled around a few ideas before we finally decided to create a Valentine’s Day dessert buffet.
I found all these food items at the grocery store and you can probably find them at your local grocery store as well.
Most of them are prepacked or ready-made which makes creating a Valentine inspired dessert buffet easy peasy.
Gathering Festive Supplies…
I’m using a vintage set of Haviland china I’ve had for years. But honestly, you can use whatever you already have on hand and add touches of red, pink, or purple to make it festive.
This idea would also be fun if you’re celebrating Galentine’s Day with your besties or roommates too!
I paired the dainty dishes with a rustic feed sack to stand in as a table runner and added a few farmhouse-inspired valentines.
Then I used a three-tiered wire stand to help hold some of the ready-made treats.
Do you guys use a treat tower when you’re entertaining? I swear this thing comes in so handy. We use it all the time!
Ready-Made Valentine’s Day Dessert Buffet Treat Ideas…
To keep the treats easily accessible, I filled valentines inspired cupcake liners with super simple goodies.
Things like mini pretzels I drizzled with candy melts, frosted animal crackers,
strawberries,
salty, sweet, and spicy pecans from our family’s pecan grove. You can find the recipe we used here. They are so good!
I also dipped milk chocolate Milano cookies in candy melts and rolled them in crushed pistachios for the sweet and salty fans.
Once the treat tower was filled, I added some licorice whips
M&M’s,
Cinnamon hearts
and of course, you can’t have a Valentine’s Day Dessert Bar without having conversation hearts.
I mean, seriously you guys, you can pour various bags of candy in pretty crystal and glass containers in no time!
I couldn’t think of a better drink to add to the dessert buffet than strawberry milk, accented with a mini red velvet powdered donut and a heart straw.
Since the rest of the table was really festive, I decided to keep the flowers simple and neutral.
It doesn’t get much more relaxed than flowers in Ball jars, right?
No playing, it took me longer to shop for the food items than it did to pull this entire Valentine’s Day Dessert Buffet together.
Of course, it took a tiny bit of planning. But it’s always fun to enjoy a special treat and goodness knows we could all use something to celebrate!
Let us know if you’ve ever created a Valentine’s Day dessert buffet and what your favorite sweet treats are! Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

I can’t believe you can make grocery items look like this, Coco. I’ve never tried to use the cupcake liners before but I do have a treat tower so I will try it. Thanks for making this all super easy, Sarah
You are so welcome, Sarah, honestly those cupcake liners really helped to add color to the table and to make it all look festive. If you’re able to do nothing else – use the treat tower and cupcake liner combo! Hugs, CoCo
We think there must be a new employee of the month! This dessert buffet is a genius idea and no doubt a giant hit at the office. Love that we have matching Haviland china – and we wouldn’t let it out of the house either LOL. Hugs!
