Simple Tips for a Fall Cider Bar

Practical and Pretty..
One of the things I love most about working with these talented ladies is they always inspire and push me to be creative.
I’m naturally a very practical person.
Our island cottage doesn’t have a lot of extra storage to bring things home on a whim. Or to craft things we aren’t actually going to use throughout the year and in multiple seasons.
When I saw the topic this month was mason jars and bottles, I immediately thought about the jars in our pantry holding walnuts and kitchen staples.
Then I thought about how we use mason jars each morning to save time with our smoothie prep packets And how we use them to keep our at-home lunch station organized too.
Of course, we’ve filled mason jars with simple flowers and placed them on our dinner table for a relaxed farmhouse feel.
We’ve also packed them with sweet scents of the season and given them away to friends and family as simmer pot ingredients as well.
So, this Fall, when we decided to recreate our favorite things about spending time at the cabin, I knew immediately how to incorporate mason jars.
Creating a coffee or cider bar doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated at all. Honestly, you probably already have most of the items you need right now to create a festive feeling this Fall.
Here’s a look at a few simple tips for creating a Fall Cider Bar…

Gather Your Fall Cider Bar Supplies:
Set out your favorite mugs, glasses, straws, syrups, spices, a few sweet treats, honey crisp apples, cider, and coffee if you like.
These are the supplies we use the most…

- Coffee Maker (this one has a stainless-steel carafe that keeps coffee or water hot for a lot longer than a standard coffee pot)
- Generous Mugs (these are so cute for fall)
- Coffee Mug Rack
- Syrups (they come in holiday sets as well)
- Glasses
- Drink Dispenser (similar)
- Spices
- Straws (this rose gold or black combination is cute if you have company coming over for a fall party)
- Chalkboard (this is cute a vintage/farmhouse style if you’re not able to find a chalkboard at a thrift store or charity shop)
Make it Festive:
As you’re decorating your Fall cider bar and treat station, make it festive!
You’ll want to vary the heights and textures of the pieces you’re incorporating. This helps to add visual interest and create a warm and cozy feeling.
Don’t forget to add seasonal art, a wreath, a vintage-inspired apple picking sign, or create your own chalkboard art.
Add Easy Cakes and Snacks:
Including a treat station in your Fall cider bar doesn’t have to be super fancy.
Just set out a few things you know your loved ones will enjoy. Consider picking up favorites from your local bakery or grocery store if you don’t have time to bake multiple cakes, cookies, breads, or pies.
Dress Up Your Mason Jars:
Any time we’re drinking cold apple cider, it’s almost always in a mason jar. The lids make it so convenient to mix multiple spices and syrups into the cider without a lot of extra fuss.
Dress up the mason jars on your Fall cider bar by thinly slicing an apple and cutting a small hole in the center. Then gently place a cinnamon stick inside the hole.
As always, use caution and care when using a knife to slice and cut the apple as the knife will be sharp.
Fall Cider Bar Inspiration:
We’ve had a designated drink station in our home for years. It’s such an inexpensive way to add a little bit of convenience to everyday life.
Even when I’m at home and we’re just hanging out I like to set up a little treat station.
Creating a fall cider bar is a great way to make memories with the people you love all season long. And if there is one thing we can all agree on this year, it’s that every day we have together is worth celebrating!

I love it and new I would and you’re so right we are taking time to make this special for ourselves during this time. I use mason jars for many things in our home. I have our favorite coco and flavored coffees inside some inside our coffee bar.
Instead of regular coffee we enjoy hazelnut hot chocolate or mocha flavored. Storing the powder in mason jars adds a pretty touch.
Your cider bar is perfect and love the added touch of the apple slices.

A fall cidar bar is a perfect idea for a gathering of friends. i know my girlfriends would love to sit around and chat while we enjoy cider and sweets. I love the way you styled your cider bar. Adding a slice of apple with a cinnamon stick to each Mason jar filled with cider is a great idea!

That is so sweet of you to say, Marilyn, thank you! The covers are actually wine bottle bags we found on Amazon. I don’t have our exact link because we’ve had these for a while but I believe they are listed under burlap wine bags, the color is natural, and most of the time you can get 12 pieces for less than $15. I made the clay tags but you could always use chalkboard labels, plain wooden labels dressed up with a pretty script or font, or even heavy cardstock.
