It’s so cool we’re going to be twinsies, Kathleen! I love this dresser so much and I’m constantly on the lookout for another one. It’s a good thing you scooped it up when you did! I did not have a problem when I painted the dresser top with milk paint (as you see in the photo I shared) because I had already previously painted it a few years before with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint so it had a solid foundation. That said, you might consider sanding the top a bit to give it some tooth before you paint it. I know laminate tops can definitely be slick and paint does not always stick well to those surfaces. Can’t wait to see how your dresser turns out! Hugs, CoCo

I had scoped it out at a thrift store for three weeks before I bit the bullet and bought it. Honestly, I was afraid that with the virus ramping up the stores would close so I ran out and bought it! Unfortunately I was right and we have been in Stay at Home mode in Illinois for days now and all non-essential businesses have been closed. I am SO glad I bought it and can’t wait to paint it! Question, though — did you have trouble with the top? Mine is laminate and it’s always a bear to paint laminate:( So glad to see that great minds think alike! xo Kathleen

There are so many people telling me they feel unmotivated right now! I’ve been working on a video on Wednesday for motivation so stayed tuned. As for spring decorating, just take it one step at a time and one project at a time and you’ll have your house ready in no time! Hugs, CoCo
