Outdoor Entertaining: Fall Inspired Patio
In today’s post, Outdoor Entertaining Fall Inspired Back Patio, we’re sharing a simple tablescape filled with natural elements and our favorite Fall plaid!
After we gave the back patio area a refresh, I was ready to give the entire space a little fall love. As I shared with you guys yesterday, while I was out shopping for the Gourmet S’mores Bar supplies at Kirkland’s I found acorns I’m totally excited about.
I don’t know if the pricing is the same in all areas but at the time they were 25% off and cost less than $8 per bag. The acorns set the tone for the farmhouse table.
Later that same day, I found 6 yards of plaid material at a local thrift store for $3.
Once I got home, I started combing through my stash of pumpkins, gourds and fall leaves to fill my antique dough bowl.
We decided to use the everyday ironstone dishes that were on the fall inspired dining table without the chargers for a more casual feel on patio.
I also reused the candles, corks and glass hurricanes from that same tablescape. Decorating is so much easier if you shop your house first before buying something new.
You never know when you’ll come across something old that you’ll feel creative about all over again.
After I finished pulling all of the other elements together, I decided it needed something nature inspired. I called the owner of The Pickers Market and she let me use a few of the deer sheds she has for sale at the store.
This is a great option if you’re on a limited budget and want to do some outdoor entertaining. Ask your friends or family members if they have items you can borrow to help make the event special yet budget friendly.
I couldn’t be more excited about the way this table turned out.
You guys already know, I have such a weak spot for plaid. I’m totally stoked about mixing plaids this year.
All of this fabric came from different thrift stores and was only a few dollars for each bundle. I think the navy blue fabric that I used as a table runner and in these pillows is definitely favorite. It’s perfect for an outdoor entertaining fall inspired patio.
I also had enough fabric to make pillows for the seats around the firepit
and the swing too. The Home Sweet Home pillow is from Kirkland’s.
I know I say this all of the time but I wish you guys lived closer. We could seriously tell some fun stories
and laugh the night away.
See you guys back here tomorrow. I’m sharing a recipe for decadently moist brownies featuring peanut buttercream frosting and a secret ingredient that you won’t want to miss.
Many blessings,
CoCo

Was leaving a comment on Dwelling in Happiness when I saw your smiling face amidst the comments and just HAD to pop by for a visit to your lovely abode. And lovely it is! My goodness, CoCo, you have the magic touch when it comes to styling. Love your tips for shopping for the house and using what you have or thrifting / borrowing / stealing…whatever it takes, lol. There’s really so much we can do when we tap into our God-given creativity. Anyway, just wanted to say The Crowned Goat is looking beautiful and just as inspirational as ever. So happy to see you thriving and catch this glimpse into your life. Hugs and love!

Dear CoCo – This outdoor tablescape is absolutely beautiful! You know that we are mad-for-plaid and love how you incorporated it into your outdoor decor. Your ideas for borrowing items is fantastic. It reminds us of borrowing from Mom and Grandma’s house…a tradition we still do today.
I so appreciate that ladies, thank you! I love it when my sisters borrow things from me and make the look totally fresh with their style. It keeps me feeling creative. Hugs, CoCo
